Some kids are born historians who love visiting “real” castles and “ancient” churches and far prefer them to places like Disneyland. Others trudge along without saying very much while still others moan every step of the way about “boring old buildings.” Its amazing though how many who seemed to take nothing in become instant experts upon their return home, while many moaners who “hated every minute” of their trip can’t stop talking about all the “awesome” places they visited to all their friends. Finally, there are always a few who don’t say very much for years, then, out of the blue they will ask “do you remember …” with real appreciation. In our experience most kids benefit enormously from visiting historic sites and increasingly appreciate them as the years go by even if on the actual trip they spent all their time complaining. Therefore, it’s always good to keep in mind that there are some excellent theme parks in Britain where you can always let the kids escape from more serious things. Below are a few you might want to visit in Britain, France, Germany and Italy.

N.B. The site was created to help Christians recognize the Christian heritage of Europe and meet fellow Christians in Europe. We are not paid to list theme parks etc. and do not check them out. We simply list them because some people may want to visit them. Therefore, we accept no responsibility for any recommendations about theme parks, things to do, travel plans, travel agents, hotels, guest houses, or other suggestion made on this Web Site.

If you find a really great place to take kids in any of these countries, please let us know at: info@christian-traverlers-guides.com
